Caerphilly Woodlands Trust are offering three guided forest bathing sessions, to give people the chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and support their wellbeing.
Forest bathing (also known as Shinrin-yoku) is a gentle, mindful experience in nature. It’s about moving slowly, using the senses, and taking time to notice and breathe.

What to expect:

  • A calm, guided session led by a trained facilitator
  • An invitation to engage your senses
  • Time to pause, reflect and relax,
  • A friendly, non-judgemental space

Practical info:

Location: Coed y Werin, Caerphilly

What to bring: Comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for the weather, waterproofs are never a bad idea!

Sessions run in light rain (it actually adds to it, trust us!), but may be cancelled in extreme weather.

Who is it for?
Anyone! (Children are welcome if they are comfortable with sitting quietly for up to 15 minutes), whether you’re feeling stressed, curious about mindfulness, or just want to spend time outdoors. You don’t need any experience in mindfulness practice, just come as you are!

Spaces are limited, so booking is essential.

Forest Bathing also known as (Shinrin-yoku), a guided, mindful walk through nature designed to reduce stress, boost mood, and improve overall wellbeing.

Guided by a certified nature and forest therapy guide, this peaceful, slow-paced walk is designed to help you connect deeply with the natural world through all your senses. No hiking. No fitness goals. Just presence, mindfulness, and calm.

Take a break from the noise and stress of daily life and immerse yourself in the healing power of the forest.

The project is delivered by CWT with the support of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Countryside Service and the Gwent Green Grid Partnership.

This project is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. It is being delivered by the Heritage Fund, on behalf of the Welsh Government. / Ariennir y prosiect yma gan y Rhaglen Rhwydweithiau Natur. Mae’n cael ei ddarparu gan y Gronfa Treftadaeth, ar ran Llywodraeth Cymru
