SOMETHING STIRS IN THE WOODLAND AFTER DARK

As the sun sets and darkness gathers beneath the trees, Coed y Werin comes alive with the woodland night shift.

Join ecologist Dr Alex Wilson for a magical summer evening discovering the hidden world of bats and moths. Using bat detectors, we’ll listen to the secret calls of pipistrelles, noctules and other night-flying hunters as they emerge from their roosts and sweep through the woodland sky.

Children are especially welcome to bring torches and explore the woods after dark β€” an adventure that transforms the familiar woodland into a world of mystery, movement and sound. No school in the morning, no early morning alarm clocks, it’s a Saturday night, a night made for woodland adventures after dark.
